A 63 year-old man from Blairstown was killed over the weekend when his motorcycle was hit by a car on Route 94. Police pronounced him dead at the scene.
The motorcyclist was hit by a 17 year-old driving southbound on Route 94 near County Route 605 when he tried to make a left turn. He failed to see the man and the two collided. The man on the motorcycle was thrown from his bike and landed on the grass next to the road.
The 17 year-old was taken to Newton Medical Center with a broken nose and was released later that day. Police are still investigating the fatal accident.
Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the victim.
