Officer struck in funeral procession

Posted on Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at 5:29 pm

A police officer was struck on his motorcycle while participating in a police motorcade for a fallen FBI agent over the weekend.

The officer was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to authorities, another vehicle in the procession struck the man. No charges have been brought against the driver at this time. Law enforcement says the driver made no obvious violations and believe it was not intentional.

The vehicles were on their way to lay a 43 year-old special FBI agent to rest after he died in a drowning accident in Puerto Rico trying to save another man.
