The state New Jersey is involved in a campaign to fight drunken driving during the last part of the summer holiday. The campaign, “Over the Limit, Under Arrest” began August 26 and continues through September 6, Labor Day.
Extra law enforcement, longer hours and saturation checkpoints will all be used in the crackdown along with banners and posters so that people will be reminded not to get behind the wheel if they have drinking. Last year, 185 people were killed as a result of alcohol-related crashes and 67 of these fatal crashes were during the summer months.
If you or a loved one has been injured in a car accident with a drunk driver, contact the New Jersey drunk driving lawyers of Levinson and Axelrod by calling 800-346-5529.
