Two People Killed on D.C. Sidewalks in One Day

Posted on Monday, January 4th, 2010 at 12:18 pm

A woman was killed while waiting for the bus in D.C. It was the second accident where someone on the sidewalk was hit by a vehicle.

The woman was hit when the car went up on the curb on Pennsylvania Avenue. Earlier that day, a man was walking on the sidewalk and was fatally injured by a pickup truck after it collided with a car when the driver lost control. The truck was heading west when it struck a car going north, then hit the pedestrian before coming to a stop.

Both accidents are being investigated.
